Using Laptops in the Classroom
The Grade 5 and 6 class love learning with laptops! Having laptops in the classroom gives the students the opportunity to work on their computer skills and learn how to use programs that will help them in their studies. One of the biggest achievements the students have made was learning how to use video editing software. They have filmed and edited several enjoyable features that they have shared with the rest of the school.

Capacity
The grade 2 class explores capacity in math class. This student predicted how fill the glass would appear after putting in 1/2 cup of juice.
Although is does not look it, all of these glasses have the same amount of juice in them!
We invited the Grade 1 class to have some "capacity juice"(fruit punch) in fancy glasses with us. They were surprised to learn that all the glasses had equal amounts of juice in them!

Simple Machines Continued
Continuing with our study of simple machines, we experimented with levers. Where is the fulcrum? Where is the load? And does the nearness of the load to the fulcrum affect the amount of force or effort needed? We know the answers to these questions in the grade 3 and 4 classroom!
