Forcing Spring Bulbs

In the fall we were learning about plants, so we went to a local plant nursery to see the many types of plants we could buy. We bought some spring bulbs, planted them and then put them in a cool dark place over the Christmas holidays. On January 3rd we took this basket of bulbs and placed it on the windowsill. First we observed that the white shoots turned green and then we watched it grow and grow and grow. This is what it looks like after just 2 weeks!! Luckily for us, we all don't mind the interesting smell of Paperwhites!!

Il Fait Froid!

Ms. Williams is being rather silly demonstrating items that we wear in the winter during French circle. On a serious note, Playschool is learning the names winter clothing items and words related to winter. Take a look at the display board outside of the Playschool room for our French and English winter words.

Mrs. Parker and a friend are getting in on the fun of a French game reinforcing the French vocabulary.
