Quill Feather

The grades three and four found out the hard way how difficult it was for the pioneers to write with a quill feather!

The ink was very runny and we had to work very diligently to avoid making the page all 'splotchy'. If a mistake was made, we could not 'scratch it out' without messing up the page!

Sketching Flowers at the Greenhouse

The Kindergarten Class went to the Centennial Greenhouse to sketch the many beautiful flowers they saw there. With their crayons they moved from section to section in small groups drawing the flowers that were of most interest to them.

These are their beautiful sketches from the greenhouse. Aren't they lovely!

African Masks

While studying Africa in geography, the students in Grades 5 and 6 had the opportunity to make African themed masks. It is great to see how much detail and effort went in to the making of these masks. Great job students!

Easter Eggs

In Playschool our friends are dying Easter eggs. Each student brought in a few eggs to decorate.

First they chose what colour they wanted, then they bathed the egg in the dye.

Next the teacher dried the dyed eggs. When the eggs are all dry the students will be able to decorate them more with stickers and then put them in the basket they have decorated for them.

Easter

The Junior Room did an Easter Diorama depicting the current recitation.

But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:5-6
This diorama is on display in the Lobby. Please come and have a look.
